'My boss stole my bag': Boss throws away employee's bag, employee goes to HR, HR sides with boss

You know there's a problem at your workplace when HR sides with a thief! In this instance, the thief just so happened to be the employee's boss. This thread was posted to Reddit by u/veloeddy, who opened up about this recent experience they had at work that led to them finding a better job elsewhere. The Redditor tends to leave their laptop and other work supplies in a company bag under their desk. That bag happened to have the former name of the company on it, which is partially why it annoyed their boss. Really, though, it seems like the boss just didn't like the employee and used that as an excuse to mess with them. One day, OP discovered their bag was gone and found the security camera footage of their boss literally throwing it away in the dumpster. The worst part of the story, however, is how HR responded.
