This employee works for a retail store with an online presence on eBay. Their boss's decision to expand into the wild west of eBay was probably the first egregious mistake here. For those that don't know, eBay tends to always side with the customer in sticky situations, no matter what the details of those situations are. In this instance, u/disappointed_shrew_ shared their story to Reddit's r/EntitledPeople subreddit of a customer who sent a series of ridiculously demanding messages over the weekend when the store was quite clearly closed. Technically, eBay is a 24-hour, 7 days a week service, but it's the retail store employees that actually have to deal with customers such as these and their hours are certainly not 24 hours, 7 days a week. You would think a little bit of research on the customer's part about the store's hours would have been useful before launching into a tirade, but we don't exactly expect due diligence from our Karen customers, do we? For more stories like this, here are the top 5 Karens of the week.
