In ancient times, when man, beast, and god walked the world, a time of myth and legend, and above all, miracles. One such instance is of the Orange Cat, he of long claw and silky fur, whose knowledge and ego knew equal amongst mortals. The Orange Cat had bested all manner of humans and beasts in contests of wit and word, and sought new challenges, raising himself above others in his own minds-eye, due to his inflated ego.So, having defeated all the majestic mammals, rambunctious reptiles, fastidious fish, harmonious humans, and affable avians around, he sought a contest with the gods. He challenged Bast, the god of cats, to a battle of wits, but in his hubris forgot that none can look upon Bast without the proper offering of tuna, a crime for which Bast punished Orange Cat and all his descendants with a curse. From then until the end of time, all orange cats have shared one single brain cell, unable to bring forth the wit and knowledge that once challenged the gods.
