Are Hyper’s stackable USB-C chargers melting?

I did — and today, I’m thinking twice about whether it belongs in my bedroom. Yesterday, tipster Marc-Antoine Courteau brought it to our attention that some of these devices are failing and not always in a friendly “ports stop working” way.
